I’m certain that everyone reading this article knows what an API is. But just in case, here’s the wiki definition “In computer programming, an application programming interface (API) is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications”. More generically, an API allows disparate applications to converse or transfer data between them.
And that got me thinking how similar this definition is to the daily functions performed by our recruiters. This may seem like an odd analogy, but our recruiters are the interface or go-betweens that communicate between the hiring managers and the candidates. They are the conduit through which the requirements, expectations, processes and procedures flow.
At SherlockTalent, our recruiters are the best equipped to accomplish this human API task because they have at their disposal, one of the most candidate rich databases in the region. This gives them a competitive edge and gives you the hiring manager a broader choice of talent.
