Miami based client is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence for the overall vision, strategy, and operation of business intelligence. You will play a key role in building, managing and mentoring our growing data engineering and analytics team.
• Data warehouse analysis and design, utilizing data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.
• Expertise with business intelligence tools (such as Cognos, Tableau); designing, reporting and delivering analytical solutions; data management and warehousing, and the strategic use of information. Experience must include strong skills in research, analysis, data management and data quality.
• Microsoft database technologies (SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012), database design, ERWIN, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, cubes and OLAP/OLTP systems. Strong SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS) experience a plus.
• User-specific BI technologies, including Tableau, Excel PowerPivot/PowerView and SharePoint dashboards/balanced scorecards, among others.
• Experience with database design applications and data processing flowcharting techniques.
• Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Understanding of the financial services sector and related processes is beneficial
• Experience with statistical methods and regression analysis is a plus.
You will design and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses. The Business Intelligence Specialist will need to ensure high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing. Responsible for the company’s five BI functional areas: Data Acquisition, Information Asset Management, Sales Analytics, Operational Analytics and the Cross-Department Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC).
• Deliver information and analytical solutions to the firm's key stakeholders through the design and oversight of Operational Data Stores (ODS), automated Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes, an enterprise data warehouse (EDW) system and department-specific Datamarts.
• Development of BI-related service offerings to provide more value& service offerings
• Create competitive advantages for the Company and its internal/external clients. This role reports to the CIO.
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree , Master is a plus
• 8 years’ experience in a directly related area during which both technical and management capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.
