Our intention is to assist local tech start-ups to pitch their tech product or service. A tech start-up can be looking for a variety of things like seed capital, tech partners, business partners, advisers, mentors or business leads. There are so many tools available on the market today to help recruiters and the hiring managers. Some are database type applications that help recruiters collect, organize and manage candidate data, others are ‘connector’ type applications that help link candidates with hiring managers directly.
Some tools have developed a new ‘use case’, like LinkedIn, originally a social media platform for professionals, has developed into a fertile crop of candidates for recruiters. Others like the Resumator have moved beyond their original function-set to offer complex matching algorithms – a bit like online dating, and we’ve all heard horror stories about those platforms.
