Are you a Sr DBA who has expertise with both SQL Server & Oracle Databases? If so, our Ft Lauderdale based client would like to speak with you. Looking for someone with a strong production and database design skills.

Some Musts:
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft database administration with at least 6 years working as a senior or lead Database Administrator
• Good understanding of database design for relational, OLAP, OLTP, and star schema databases as demonstrated through 2 + years of database design experience or equivalent college or Oracle approved training courses
• Experience and ability to demonstrate proficiency with tuning Microsoft and Oracle databases for performance, reliability, and availability
• Must have a strong attention to detail-excellent communication skills—establish priorities
• Must be able to adhere to specific guidelines and practices.
• 6+ years administering databases in MS SQL 2005/2008/+.
• Ability to estimate, plan and execute complex technical projects.
• Manage the maintenance and use of the organization’s data dictionary.
• Develop and support standards and physical data storage design, as well as maintenance, access, and security administration; perform backup & recovery and upgrades on MS and Oracle Databases
• Manage, Design and maintain all development, test, and production databases.
• Define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehouse requirements;
• Possess the ability to optimize database access- optimum configuration, database performance, and cost. Develop reporting solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and normalize relevant information related business processes, functions, and operations in order to evaluate data credibility, and determine relevance and meaning.
• Manage demand, performance, and capacity processes.
• Conceptualizes, designs, constructs, tests and implements business and technical IT solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology.
• Participates in IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions.
• Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems.
• Prepares system documentation establishes and maintains security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documents.
• Responsible for ensuring the maximum availability of all business critical database environments
• Assumes ownership of database related changes, incidents, and problems
• Responsible for defining and enforcing policies, processes, standards and best practices around database environments, data security, etc.
• Responsible for executing upon the technology roadmap that aligns with Enterprise Architecture &
Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5-8 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
