Security Engineer–Windows–Miami–6 month assignment – 2573

Out Miami based client has a 6 month assignment for an IT Security Engineer responsible to implement and manage Information Security infrastructure projects

 

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a IT related discipline required

• 5+ years’ experience in systems and network engineering implementing solutions

*             "Hands-On"  Technical engineer

• Will be implementing & mitigating security risks that have been identified

• Lead design delivery of large-scale, high-quality systems focused on IT infrastructure

*              Automate patching on Windows Servers  Workstations

• Deep hands-on design and deployment expertise with large  global networks, complex distributed systems architectures, and automation of network infrastructure

   â€¢ Attention to detail and organizational skills

• Experience with agile development methodology

 

Technical Skills

• Active Directory and its services.

• MS Exchange 2007/10/13.

• VMWare ESX and Datacenter products

•• TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS, GPO, Logon Scripts.

• Microsoft IIS

• System and Application patching using WSUS or other Enterprise tools;

• Microsoft Terminal services

• Citrix XenApp.

• SMTP services including proactive anti-spamming/virus control and prevention.

• Shared application and data file management–SharePoint

• Performance tuning of authentication replication and applications across a WAN.

• Microsoft applications databases and services.

• Server and service failover, MS clustering and replication.

• MS SQL Server

 

• Storage solutions (Enterprise Vault) and implementation such as archiving of data, data classification, retention categories for different types of data

• Strong knowledge in Networking services such as routing, switching, VLAN, firewalls, TCP/IP Management and support for integrated communications systems (e-mail, phone, mobile, faxing, voicemail, etc…)

• Disaster Recovery and business continuity

• ITIL Framework (SLA’s, Incident and Problem Management)

• Document system and server configurations as well as processes and procedures.

• Monitor, alert and report on systems and services using HPSIM, What’s UP and other monitoring systems.

• Automated scripting, maintenance and reporting skills (VB and PowerShell)

 

Certifications a plus but not mandatory

 

Prefer a local candidate–but if you meet criteria & can demonstrate –exceptionally strong technical expertise–will consider.
