Our client has an immediate need for a Web/Wordpress Developer to join our Internet team. Will work on multiple projects of varying shapes and sizes, covering desktop, mobile, and apps. The primary focus of the role is on front-end interactions and experiences in a WordPress platform, primarily built with HTML5, CSS, PHP, WordPress and jQuery. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of web design/development and a passion for building great user experiences across multiple devices and screens.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the design team to define the user experience, advocating best practices with a focus on consistency and usability and making code adjustments as needed
• Optimize, upload, and manage content on a daily basis
• Create rapid prototypes of interfaces to be used as a blueprint for creative, content and technical direction
• Push the limits of existing Web technologies in order to create the best possible user experiences
• Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements as necessary
• Perform maintenance and updates to existing website
• Magento Experience would be a plus.

Requirements:
• Must have good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with the various department heads and be able to work efficiently in both independent and collaborative situations
• Must have 3+ years of website development and design experience with a strong background in WordPress and PHP development
• Must be strong with PHP and WordPress Responsive Themes
• Solid experience with HTML5 and CSS, MYSQL
• Working knowledge of visual design tools (Visio, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Knowledge and experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
• Excellent project management skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly dynamic environment
• jQuery experience a plus
